Templates
A template is a reusable blueprint for a carousel: slides with image slots (what kind of image goes here) and text layers (what to write here, in what style). The AI fills the blueprint with fresh content every run, so one good template powers hundreds of on-brand posts.
Find them under Templates in the sidebar. All shows your templates plus shared ones; Mine shows only yours.
Organize templates by project
Each project has a Templates tab beside Playground. Use New template to create one that is saved there automatically. To save an existing template, open Templates in the sidebar and choose Save to project… from the card's menu.
The sidebar's Templates page remains your complete library. Search by name, filter by project, or choose Unassigned to find templates you haven't organized yet. A card's Save to project… menu lets you save the same template to several projects without copying it.
Remove from project removes only the saved link. Delete template deletes the template everywhere. Edits apply to the same template in every project; duplicate a template when you want a separate design.
Post generation and automation template pickers start with your project's saved templates when available. Choose All templates to browse the full library.
Import a template from TikTok or Instagram
The fastest way to a proven layout — paste a link to any TikTok photo carousel or Instagram carousel post and the AI rebuilds it as an editable template:
- Click New template → Slideshow template.
- Under Copy a carousel you like, paste a TikTok or Instagram photo carousel link.
- Click Import — the app downloads each slide and shows each one's progress.
- When it finishes, the editor opens. Adjust anything and click Save template.
Importing costs 5 credits per template, refunded if the post can't be opened. Only photo carousel posts work — video posts are rejected with a clear message. The original post's author, stats, and slides are kept as a reference you can view alongside your template. The template starts with a new topic in the same style; turn on Keep the original topic in the editor to reuse the original post's subject.
You can also paste a TikTok photo carousel or Instagram post link into the AI chat. It shows a Make a template · 5 credits button; the template is then made in the background (about two minutes — you can close the chat), saved to your Templates and the attached project's Templates tab with the importer's defaults, and shown on a card with Edit template and Make a post. If anything goes wrong there, the 5 credits are refunded. One link at a time.
The app also checks the original slides together for recurring people. Under Influencer, choose from your existing influencers to use one across the template's character images. The selector shows the chosen influencer and how many slides it applies to; click it to change the choice for all those images at once. You can still change an individual image in its settings below.
Describe it in the chat
Tell the AI chat what the slides should show — "a hook slide, then one slide per tool with its logo and Pros and Cons lists" — and it designs the template, adds preview pictures to its image boxes, and saves it to your library (and to the attached project's Templates tab). Click Edit template on the chat's card to open it in the editor, or Make a post to generate from it. A template is a complete example carousel: ask for “Top 5 apps” and you get a cover, all five apps, and any requested closing slide. When you use it for “Top 6 toys,” the AI adapts the sequence to include all six. Designing a template this way is free.
To change any template in words, choose Edit with AI from its card's menu or its preview: the chat opens with the template attached, and you type the change — "make the headline bigger", "add a closing slide". Changing a shared template saves your own copy. See Editing a template.
Build one from scratch
In the New template dialog, click Start blank for a 3:4 starter you can edit: a cover slide (a background photo under a hook headline) and a content slide (a photo, a title and a short line). + Slide copies the selected slide, keeping its size and styling.
The template editor
Name the template and pick its Post size (Portrait 3:4, Portrait 4:5, Square 1:1, Full screen 9:16); changing it resizes every slide and keeps everything in place. Save template and Cancel stay at the bottom of the dialog; closing with unsaved changes asks first.
Slides. The numbered thumbnails beside the preview (above it on mobile) show every slide in your example carousel. Click one to edit it, drag to reorder, right-click for Duplicate and Delete, and use + Slide to add one.
Working on a slide. Add with + Text and + Image in Content. Under Slide settings, turn on Keep this slide unchanged to include that slide once in each post, with all its text and images unchanged. Otherwise, the AI adapts the complete example to the new post and reuses suitable item designs when it needs more slides. Slides that feature your brand stay separate from the item sequence and are not duplicated.
The Content tab lists the slide's text and images. Click one there or on the canvas to open its settings. Slide settings has What is this slide for? (read by the AI when it writes each post) and the background color. On desktop the controls scroll independently while the preview stays visible.
Images. The first image on a slide fills it. Each image has a choice of where each post's image comes from. Changing images use Choose sample image / Change sample image; fixed images use Choose image / Replace image:
- Stock photo (1 credit per post) — a matching photo from the stock library, found from your description.
- AI image (2 credits per post) — a new image made for each post. Options: Person in the image (feature one of your influencers; a drawn character renders on the cartoon image model), Show my brand in this image (uses the image on your project's Overview), and Base each post on this image (a fresh version of the image you chose).
- A folder (free) — each post gets a random image from one of your My images folders.
- Same image every post (free) — the image you choose, used as-is.
What should this image show? is the stock search or AI prompt. For stock images the picture in the editor is a preview only and each post gets its own. AI images get a fresh image per post; the preview may guide the style or act as a reference when you choose that option. Size, rotation and Let AI improve my description are under More options.
Text. Who writes it? is AI writes it or Same every post. For AI text, Example text is shown in the preview and sets the length and tone, and Instructions for AI says what to write. Mention my brand here makes the layer name your brand from the project's Overview (for fixed text, + Brand name and + Link insert it). Style is Plain, Outline or Pill, with font, size, color and alignment below and more under More style options.
The sparkle in What is this slide for?, What should this image show? and Instructions for AI rewrites what you typed so it suits the template and the way that field is used (a stock search, an AI image, a person or your brand in the picture, or the text the AI writes). Left blank, it writes one for you. It's free, and Undo under the field brings back your words.
On the canvas itself: drag to reposition, double-click text to edit it inline, double-click an image to choose its picture, shift-click to select several, and right-click for more. Deleting something shows Undo, and while you create a template ⌘/Ctrl+Z undoes too.
Previewing and using a template
Click any template card to open the preview — for imported templates you'll see the original slides plus the source post's stats (views, likes, comments, and shares for TikTok; likes and comments for Instagram, which doesn't expose the rest).
- Use this template — pick a project and click Generate post →; you land in that project's Playground with the Create Posts modal open and the template selected.
- Edit template — yours only.
- Edit with AI — describe the change in the chat; for a shared template the change is saved as your own copy.
- Copy & edit — for shared templates you can't edit: the app copies it into your library as "<name> (copy)" and opens your copy.
- Delete template — yours only; asks for confirmation and can't be undone. Remove or replace the template in linked automations first.
Where templates are used
- Generating posts — the Create Posts modal.
- AI chat — the assistant suggests templates matched to your content, designs new ones from a description, and changes existing ones.
- Automations — automations rotate through the templates you select.
