Connect TikTok
Linking a TikTok account lets Viral Garden publish photo carousels directly to your profile — manually from the editor, or automatically through automations.
How to link
You'll be offered the link flow wherever it's needed:
- On the project's Accounts tab — Add account → TikTok.
- In the Create Automation wizard's TikTok Account step — Link TikTok Account.
- In the Post to TikTok dialog, if no account is linked yet — Link TikTok account.
- On the AI chat's automation card — Connect TikTok.
Clicking the button opens a TikTok authorization popup:
- Sign in to TikTok if prompted and review the requested permissions (profile info, stats, and posting).
- Click Authorize.
- The popup closes itself and the dialog refreshes to show your account — avatar, display name, and Connected.
If your browser blocks the popup, the flow falls back to a full-page redirect that returns you to the project's Accounts tab.

TikTok accounts, YouTube channels and Instagram accounts share this allowance, counted across all your projects. Hitting the cap shows an upgrade prompt. Re-linking a currently connected account never counts against the limit. See Plans & pricing.
Staying connected
Viral Garden refreshes your TikTok authorization automatically in the background. A link only goes stale if TikTok's long-lived authorization expires (after about a year) or you revoke access from TikTok's own settings — in that case, the account shows Needs reconnect on the project's Accounts tab. Click Reconnect there, or run the link flow again from the automation's settings.
The privacy levels you can post with (Public, Friends, Followers, Only me) are dictated by your TikTok account — for example, a private TikTok account can't post publicly. The posting dialogs only offer what your account allows.
Managing accounts
The project's Accounts tab lists the TikTok accounts, YouTube channels and Instagram accounts the project posts and automates to. Each avatar carries its network's logo.
- Add account — pick the network (TikTok, YouTube, or Instagram for a Business or Creator account), then sign in and approve access in its popup. For YouTube, see Post to YouTube; for Instagram, Post to Instagram. The account appears as Connected. If you close the popup early or the connection fails, a red notice says so and no account is added — click Try again. See Account limits by plan.
- Connect / Reconnect — shown on an account that isn't connected or whose link has expired (Needs reconnect). It runs that network's authorization (TikTok, Google for a YouTube channel, or Instagram) again for that account.
- ⋮ → Check status — asks TikTok or Instagram whether the link still works (TikTok and Instagram accounts).
- ⋮ → Remove — disconnects the account. A TikTok account's post history is kept; removing a YouTube channel revokes access at Google and deletes its upload history; removing an Instagram account deletes its access token and account details from Viral Garden. Automations that used it are paused, not deleted, with their queued posts. To resume one, connect an account on the same network (a YouTube automation needs a YouTube channel) and select it in the automation's settings.
